Did you know that different times of the year call for different plants? Florida's weather patterns are not as severe as our more northern counterparts, which makes our seasons more evergreen for landscaping. However, some plants really do thrive more during Fall and Winter than others. During November, you can plant alyssum, calendula, dianthus, dusty miller, geraniums, flowering tobacco, pansy, petunia, phlox, snapdragon, stock, viola, sweet peas and ornamental cabbage.
